Enchanted Evening:

Romance… what a lovely word! With the current trend toward instant gratification, many have missed the sheer delight of anticipation.

At Mariposa Ranch, romance is in the air. Mariposa Ranch has sought a way to help couples find the exquisite joy which drew them to each other in the beginning.

An Enchanted Evening is a board game played in the privacy of your own room at the level of your own comfort. It is romantic, beautiful, and designed for all one’s senses.

Your room will be set with champagne, candy, fresh flowers and candlelight. It will truly be An Enchanted Evening.

Mariposa Ranch recommends An Enchanted Evening for a beautiful wedding night or anniversary, as well as for those couples would like to re-capture that original glow. This would be a memorable wedding or anniversary present. Gift certificates are available.

A massage, manicure or pedicure can also be arranged.

The ranch is available for weddings, retreats, corporate meetings and parties.

Accommodations:

Accommodations in six buildings include two large rooms in an 1870 Plantation home, an 1825 log cabin, a quaint cottage, two luxurious suites in an 1836 Greek Revival home, a turn-of-the-century Texas farmhouse which was the original homestead on this working ranch, and a ranch hand's bunkhouse.

The Tejas Room and Brazos Room:

Located in the main house, a beautiful 1870 Plantation home with 12' ceilings, private baths and clawfoot tubs. The Brazos Room has one queen size bed and one twin. The Tejas Room has one queen size bed.

The Texas Ranger Cabin:

An authentic 1825 log cabin, complete with a huge stone fireplace with a hook and crane, wood cook stove, queen sleeper sofa, clawfoot tub and upstairs loft with queen size bed.

The Independence House:

An 1836 two story Greek Revival home, containing two luxurious suites, Jennifer's Suite and Kathleen's Suite, each with two fireplaces and clawfoot tub. Jennifer's Suite has a king size canopy bed and two twins. Kathleen's Suite has one queen size bed and one double bed.

Fern Oaks Cottage:

A quaint "Honeymoon Cottage" with fireplace and cozy porch, with a queen size bed.

The Reinauer Guest House:

A completely restored turn-of-the-century Texas farmhouse, is the original homestead of this working ranch. In it are three bedrooms, two baths, a big living area with fireplace, and a fully-equipped kitchen. Carolyn's Room has a queen size bed and private bath. Kate's Room has two double beds. Mary's Room has one double bed. Kate's Room and Mary's Room share a bath.

All of our rooms are lovingly furnished with fine period antiques.

Each morning guests enjoy a delicious country breakfast.
