event of you need to cancel all or part of your holiday we will have to
charge either the deposit only - if cancellation is received more than
30 days before letting, or an additional 33% of the total if the
cancellation is received less than 30 days before letting or the total
rent - if cancellation is received less than 7 days before arrival. A
deposit of €155 is to be left with the owners upon arrival. This money
will be refunded upon your departure less a deduction for the cost of
telephone calls and making good any loss or damage.
In the center of Italy, in Tuscany, in the Commune of Montepulciano,
in the province of Siena just halfway between Florence and Rome, the
restoration of a farmhouse, built in 1878 has permitted us to make 4
charming suites and a nice dependance.
The estate is considered today to be of historical interest for its
vaulted brick ceiling and beautiful arches.
The suites are completely hand decorated and embellished by trompe
l'oeil. You will find a polished and exclusive atmosphere.
The Le Manzinaie also provides you with a parking area,
an open pool, a large garden, barbecue and oven for pizza parties.
The region is rich in history and culture especially due to the medieval villages nearby. You can experience all of this and more as the area
offers many activities for different interest:
- The famous wines of Montepulciano and Montalcino
- You can reach nearby towns like Cortona, Pienza and Montalcino
- The archeological treasures of the Etruscan villages of Chiusi,
Sarteano, Chianciano and their museums
- The Spa of Bagno Vignoni, Chianciano Terme, S.Albino di
Montepulciano and Rapolano Terme
Le Manzinaie offers 4 suites all provided with independent entrance,
kitchen equipped with a microwave oven and accessories, bathroom with
Jacuzzi, hydro massage tub, shower, bath and hairdryer, satellite TV,
phone, safe and independent heating.

The ground floor features a dining room and kitchen equipped of
microwave oven and accessories; one matrimonial bedroom with over head
ceiling fans or (at request), 2 separate beds; one bathroom with
"Jacuzzi", hydro massage tub and hair dryer.

The suites and the little house are completely hand decorated
and embellished by trompe l'oeil.
We also have a wide decorated sitting room called "Limoni"
(Lemons) which has a fireplace. This room is usually used for special
dinners when we all gather together to have some fun.

You can go to visit many wineries of Montepulciano, Montalcino and
Chianti. In the summer period, in Montepulciano, you can go to visit
the cellars in the historical center for a wine tasting tour.
Italy is famous in the world for its fashion. In this area, you can
visit the outlets of the major fashion houses: Gucci, Prada, Dolce and
Gabbana, Fendi. Quality ceramics can also be found locally.
Art & Cultural Tour:
In this area there are many beautiful churches, abbies, galleries,
museums and monuments.
Here, you find many restaurants with typical Tuscan cooking with
local olive extra virgin oil, Pecorino cheese and excellent wine.

From Montepulciano Stazione or from Chiusi you can reach Rome by
train about 1 hour and 15 minutes and Florence in about 1 hour.
Was the residence of Pope Pio II is now the adopted home of the
famous “pecorino” cheese.
A town situated on a hill in the Orcia Valley, it hosts “Teatro
Povero” the theatre festival every August and Christmas. The village
is of Etruscan-Roman origin.
Home of the famous “Brunello” red wine, of honey and local
bisquits call "ossi di morto".
It’s possible to find many precious pieces of antiquarian art and
beautiful local craftsmanship.
A medieval village, a spa town with a very particular town square,
actually a huge “bath” of hot spring water.
Montepulciano is a lovely village known as “The pearl of the 16th
century” (la Perla del ‘500) because of its several architectural
features dating back to renaissance time, and for its wine “Nobile di
Montepulciano” that is famous all over the world.
Montepulciano, is built along a narrow limestone ridge and at 605 m
(1,950 ft) above sea level. The town is encircled by walls and
fortifications designed by Antonio da Sangallo the Elder in 1511 for
Cosimo I. Inside the walls the streets are crammed with
Renaissance-style palazzi and churches, but the town is chiefly known
for its good local Vino Nobile wines. A long, winding street called the
Corso climbs up into the main square, which crowns the summit of the
In July-August there is Cantiere Internazionale d'Arte, an arts
festival created by the German composer Hans Werner Henze. In August
there are two festivals: the Bruscello takes place on the 14th, 15th and
16th, when hordes of actors reenact scenes from the town's turbulent
history. For the Bravio delle Botti, on the last Sunday in August, there
is a parade through the streets followed by a barrel race and a banquet
to end the day.

- Milan-Rome line: Chiusi-Chianciano T. Station, 19 kilometers far
from our estate.
From The North (by car):
- Take the A1 (Autostrada del Sole) and exit at Valdichiana -
- Make your way to Torrita di Siena, at the first traffic lights
turn left and go straight until you reach the town of Gracciano.
- At the crossroads turn left to Montepulciano Stazione (station)
then go straight to Valiano.
- Once you cross the motorway bridge keep going straight for 1.5 km,
the estate is on your left.
From The South (by car):
- Le Manzinaie is approximately 18 km from the Chiusi exit.
- Take the A1 motorway (Autostrada del Sole) towards Firenze until
the exit Chiusi-Chianciano Terme.
- After the toll plaza, turn right and follow the signs to
Montepulciano and Siena.
- After travelling approximately 5 km, turn left towards Montallese.
- You will go through 2 small villages: Tre Berte after 4 km and
Salcheto after 2 more km.
- At Acquaviva (2 km later) drive through and follow the sign to
Valiano which is approximately 2 km after Acquaviva.
- Continue straight until you reach the crossroads (on your right
you can see a warehouse for building materials).
- Follow the directions for Montepulciano Stazione, turn left and go
straight for 1 km.
- The estate is on your right.
